Horse meat is lean and is well tolerated by many dogs with a sensitive stomach. Our range includes horse intestines, horse jerky, horse skin in around 14cm pieces and the large horse skin slabs at 500g, as well as horse liver, large horse lung, horse ears with and without fur, and horse sinews.

As air-dried chews without additives, they're well suited to longer chewing sessions and also help support dental care along the way. For dogs that don't tolerate beef or chicken, horse is often a good alternative with a comparatively low risk of sensitisation.

From small horse ears, available both with and without fur, right up to the large horse skin slab at 500g, there's a suitable size in the range for every dog size and every chewing pace. Horse ears with fur also bring natural fibre, while the version without fur remains somewhat gentler when chewed.

Horse liver and horse intestines round off the selection as a calorie-conscious alternative to classic chews and are well suited to dogs that need to watch their weight but don't want to miss out on varied enrichment. Horse sinews, on the other hand, offer a firmer texture for dogs with plenty of chewing stamina.

All horse chews are made without unnecessary additives, with no artificial flavours or colourings. This gives your dog a lean, easily tolerated chewing alternative that also combines well with an allergy-friendly dry food.

For dogs being newly introduced to horse, it's worth starting with the smaller horse ears or the lean horse jerky before moving on to larger pieces such as the 500g horse skin slabs. As horse meat naturally contains little fat, it's also suitable for dogs that need to watch their weight without having to miss out on extended chewing enrichment. Anyone who has already switched their dry food to horse & pomegranate can stick consistently with the same, less common protein source using the horse chews. This makes it possible to maintain a complete, lean horse-based diet from the main meal right through to the chew snack, which can be especially helpful for dogs with multiple allergies.

As with all natural chews, feeding should always be supervised, particularly with smaller pieces such as the horse ears. This makes it possible to step in quickly should your dog chew too hastily or swallow larger pieces. Even with calm, experienced chewers, it's worth occasionally checking the remaining size of the snack.

Stored dry in a sealed tin, horse chews stay fresh and crunchy for an extended period. For regular everyday chewing, one to two snacks a week are usually enough alongside normal feeding. Anyone who likes variety can occasionally switch to another mild protein source from the range.

Guide

Horse Chews: häufig gefragt

💡
