Alongside horse and rabbit, goat is one of the proteins vets recommend for an elimination diet. The meat is lean, well tolerated and rare in German dog food; a dog that has previously eaten beef, chicken or lamb is, with high probability, not sensitised to goat.

Is goat suitable for dogs with allergies?
Goat is a rarely fed protein and is therefore often used when an allergy is suspected. What matters is that the dog hasn't had goat before. If an allergy is already known, discuss the type with your vet.
Which goat chews are suitable for smaller dogs?
Goat ears and goat feet are comparatively handy and easy even for medium-sized dogs to work on. Head skin and larger pieces are better suited to large, strong-chewing dogs.
