Lung for Dogs
Lung is one of the offal items rarely talked about in canine nutrition, even though it has quite a lot to offer. For your dog, it's above all one thing: a very low-fat, light snack well suited for training and in-between moments. We explain what makes lung as a raw material, why it's interesting for dogs, and how NANDOO uses it.
What is lung?
Lung, often beef lung, is an offal item gently dried for chews. As offal, it counts among the lesser-known parts of the animal, but is just as valuable and natural a raw material as muscle meat. At NANDOO, we deliberately name it openly for what it is, because your dog's feeding should be based on honest information.
Characteristic of lung is its spongy, light structure, which is retained even after drying. This results in a particularly light snack that differs noticeably from fattier chews.
Why lung for dogs?
Lung is naturally very low in fat while delivering easily digestible protein. This combination makes it a low-calorie snack well suited for frequent training or as a small reward in between, without putting much strain on your dog's daily ration.
Especially for dogs that need to watch their weight or are regularly rewarded, for example during training or walks, a lean snack like lung is a sensible alternative to fattier chews.
A snack as simple and low in fat as lung can also be pleasant for dogs with a sensitive stomach, since it puts less strain on the digestive tract than higher-calorie alternatives. So despite its simplicity, lung remains a versatile companion in your dog's everyday life.
Lung at NANDOO
At NANDOO, you'll find lung as a standalone, openly declared chew, not hidden in a mix. As a dog owner, you can therefore decide specifically whether and how often you want to use this light snack.
Our lung chews are gently dried, with no artificial additives. That way, the raw material's natural character is retained, and you know exactly what you're giving your dog. You'll find a selection of our natural chews in our chew range.
Lung shows that even lesser-known offal, with honest declaration, can be a valuable part of feeding. You'll find more raw materials and their significance for canine nutrition in our raw materials lexicon.

Häufige Fragen zu Lung for Dogs
